Vox Sambou writes and performs in Creole, French, English, Spanish and Portuguese. His music is a fusion of traditional rhythms of Haiti and Afro-Latin elements of afrobeat, reggae and hip hop. He is crucially involved in the achievement of educational and community projects based in Limbé, Haiti. He is a founding member of Solid'Ayiti, an artist and activist initiative working for long-term solidarity between Montreal and movements fighting for social justice in Haiti.

This engagement of Vox Sambou is made possible through Performing Arts Global Exchange, a program of Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
